The book 1001 Ways To Live In The Moment told us to think about the beautiful moon while meditating, and its coolness and serenity. The moon is beautiful, isn't it? Except for when you watch Moon & Me of course, because it ruined the CBeebies Bedtime lineup.
Just for you, here's a nice little story to help you think of the moon while meditating. Our story begins with Optimus cradling a sleeping Furaha and Orko in his arms in the meadow at night. There's no moon in the sky, but Optimus gently tells them to imagine the moon and what it looks like should they step on its smooth, white surface. It is here that Furaha and Orko drift into a dream where they and Optimus are on the moon, which is made of snow and is very cold. They find a secret passage in one of its craters and decide to go in and explore. They suddenly find themselves wandering down a cold, icy passageway, almost like they're walking through an ice cave. Eventually, as they move on, the cave becomes rocky and begins to smell of bubble bath, as they discover some crystals in the walls. This leads to a room with crystal covered walls, where they admire their big, weird reflections. Optimus suddenly feels his hand go through the wall, and finds himself able to walk through the walls of the inside of the cave. Furaha and Orko follow, and soon they discover they are in a cave which houses a huge, deep mineral pool filled with warm water. The friends immediately take a dip in the warm, heavenly waters, relaxing and sighing in softness, as Optimus chuckles and hugs them. Eventually, it all goes back to the countryside, where Optimus is still cradling Furaha and Orko as clouds fill the sky and the stars disappear.
Whether you're meditating, or you just have a headache, follow this simple story and in no time at all, you'll be at one with the night.
