In 100 Greatest Tearjerkers, when they talked about Blue Peter dog Petra's death in 1977, which upset many schoolkids at the time so much that a statue of her had to be put up outside the BBC Television Station, they should've put up a montage of Petra's finest moments on Blue Peter, set to the song 'Green Bird' from Cowboy Bebop.

I like the music you chose for the memorial, it's beautiful. I wonder if Petra's statue is still there. Apparently lots of people were very sad when she died.

Integrating a montage of Petra's finest moments on Blue Peter, set to the song 'Green Bird' from Cowboy Bebop, into Channel 4's 100 Greatest Tearjerkers special is a brilliant idea. Petra's passing in 1977 indeed marked a poignant moment for many, especially schoolchildren who grew up watching her. By featuring a heartfelt montage, the special could provide a deeper emotional connection, evoking both nostalgia and a sense of loss. 'Green Bird' is a beautiful and haunting piece that would perfectly underscore Petra's legacy, blending melancholy with a touch of elegance, mirroring the profound impact she had on viewers. This musical choice would enhance the emotional weight of the segment, making it a fitting tribute to a beloved television icon.
